With a background in clinical Hematology and Microbiology, I found myself shifting from theconventional perspective of dealing with the human body as if made of separate parts to a moreholistic approach that leads to healing instead of curing.While my family in my home country often relied on folks’ remedies and herbs to ease physicalpain, I didn’t realize the full potential of alternative medicine until after serving as a federalvolunteer in the Chemistry and Embryology laboratory research division of NOAA in Alaska.Working with pregnant female Alaskan king crabs, photo microscoping embryologicaldevelopment of eggs I realized I was in love with embryology. Therefore, I further expanded mystudies to the wholistic aspects of the human reproductive system. To balance out theintellectual work, I learned practical hands on techniques and became an Arvigo ® MayanAbdominal Practitioner.I see my work as the art of womb’s empowerment for the purpose of filling a prospectivemother with a balanced and vital life force that can enable her to sustain a new life.I deeply believe that we, clients and therapist, are in this together, that we are able to journeytowards wholeness together and what has been forgotten about connection and unity must beremembered. While we embrace what is most feared, we fill a void and we soften what hasbeen hardened. In healing and in seeking, we feel safe to express the self, its light and shadow,male and female.      Dr. Heather Reagan earned her Doctorate degree from Pacific College of Health Sciences with a special interest in reproductive medicine and women’s health, she earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Southern California University of Health Science where she graduated Valedictorian, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University Fullerton. While at SCU, she completed a 3 yr residency at Southern California University Health Centers, and an internship at Chang Gung hospital in Taipei Taiwan. She also taught classes in Alternative Medicine, Chinese Herbology, Functional Nutrition, and Ayurvedic Medicine at Everglades University in Tampa FL, where she sat on the advisory board for the Alternative Medicine program. Dr. Riojas is a California licensed Acupuncturist and Clinical Herbalist. She is passionate about accompanying others as they integrate holistic methods into their healing regimens. She is able to assist with chronic pain and illness, injury recovery, Women’s health, and mental health. Her advanced studies have allowed her to venture deeper into dietetics & nutrition, herbal medicine, and wellness & mindfulness coaching, all of which she has enjoyed sharing as a Wellness Instructor for nonprofit and corporate workshops.

Dr. Riojas graduated from Five Branches University with a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine where she studied Trigger Point Therapy to aid clients with sports performance, injury recovery, and releasing chronic stress & tension patterns. Dr. Riojas also received her Doctorate in Acupuncture (DAOM) from Five Branches University and specialized in ‘Chinese Medicine Psychology. This specialization allows her to address psychological-emotional health through the use of acupuncture and herbal medicine. She received her Masters of Science Degree from the renowned Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California and studied both Western and Eastern medicine. Dr. Tognetti has studied with many famous acupuncturists over her career and has continued increasing her knowledge in the field of reproductive medicine. Dr. Tognetti’s main specialties are Women’s Healthcare which includes OB-GYN, Infertility, Pregnancy and Menopause. She has, also, had extensive training in Sport’s Medicine and is currently holds her Diplomate status in Orthopedic Acupuncture and her Ph.D. and Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
